Jon Weizenbaum
Health and human services consultant with over 36 years’ experience in public policy and state government leadership, including five years as commissioner of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS), providing leadership and direction to over 17,000 employees and directing administration of the agency’s $6.8 billion budget. Jon also served as DADS deputy commissioner for six years and as director of its Center for Policy and Innovation for two years. Jon’s experience prior to DADS includes serving as policy director of the Texas Senate Health and Human Services Committee. Jon is a graduate of the UT-Austin LBJ School of Public Affairs, the UT-Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work, and Brown University.
Chris Adams
Over 40 years’ experience in health and human services primarily focused on services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. His experience includes over 25 years in management and administration of Texas’ state supported living centers, six years managing and directing the regional long-term care regulatory operations at the DADS agency, three years serving as the Deputy Commissioner of the DADS agency, and one year as an Associate Deputy Commissioner at HHSC assisting in the structure and implementation of legislatively mandated reorganization of the state’s health and human services system. As an independent professional consultant, Chris works with individual providers, provider organizations and state systems to systematically expand and improve service delivery through data-based and data-driven planning, operations, and quality assurance/improvement. His work in Texas and six other states has focused on regulatory compliance, quality and risk management system structure, operations, and quality improvement.
Glen Neal
Former state government executive with expertise in the administration of large state agencies. He held positions in executive management for more than 20 years, most recently serving as Director of Business Operations at the Texas Workforce Commission. Experience includes oversight of procurement, contract management, legislative affairs, communications, project management, facilities management, strategic planning, performance management, and human resources. Proven ability to envision, plan, lead and implement large-scale organizational change. Recent consultant work includes compiling extensive data and information on state agency IT project requests for the 87th session of the Texas Legislature. Glenn holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Texas and a Master of Public Administration from Texas State University.
